The 18th Korean youth baseball league had three wins, one draw and two losses on the first day of the "2024 Korea-Taiwan International Exchange Match." The junior national team, the youth B team, and the youth C team won their second consecutive games, and the youth D team tied the game 5-5. The youth A team and the dream tree E team were defeated.
The 18th youth B team of the Korea Youth League, led by Kim Jong-jin (Dobonggu Youth Baseball Team) and Nam Seong-ho (Anyang City Youth Baseball Team), won 12-3. The Korean youth B team won a landslide victory for two consecutive days, continuing its two-game winning streak.
Led by Hwang Min-ho (Asan City Youth Baseball Team) and Yoon Kyu-jin (Songpa-gu Youth Baseball Team), Team C won 9-1. Team C also won two consecutive games. On the previous day, Team C had a 15-0 victory.
For the youth C team, catcher Lee Kun-hee (Anyang City Youth Baseball Team) hit a home run over the Taiwan fence for the first time. In the bottom of the fourth inning, Lee hit a fastball from a Taiwanese pitcher, and hit a solo home run with a flying distance of 85 meters.
Led by Kim Deok-hwan (Gurogu Youth Baseball Team) and Kang Eon-ho (Haman Baseball Club), the junior national team won 12-1. The junior national team, which won 10-8 among Min Deok-joong on the previous day, scored as many as 12 points as its batters exploded.
Led by Cho Il-hyun (Wansan-gu Youth Baseball Team) and Manak-gil (No Won-gu Youth Baseball Team), the Youth A team lost 9-13. Following the previous day's game (loss of 2-3), the Youth A team unfortunately missed the victory for two consecutive days.
